Snow Mino-Ware Bowl

Thick snowy white Shino glaze favored by 16th century tea master and father of the incense ceremony Shino Soshin blows across warm chocolate and bronze tones in a natural representation of winter's beauty. Filled with a humble Wabi-Sabi aesthetic of simplicity and natural handmade imperfection, Mino-Ware bowls are a wonderful addition to any decor.

Based on a firing and glazing technique from the Korean Peninsula, Mino-Ware has a long history dating back more than 1,300 years. Mino-Ware includes a wide variety of ceramics produced in Higashi-Mino, Gifu Prefecture of central Japan. Representing approximately 60% of the national market, Mino-Ware is a true representation of Japanese aesthetic in ceramics.

Please note: due to the uniqueness of all handcrafted and hand-glazed ceramics, variations in glaze colors and effects are common. Due to this, the piece you receive may not exactly match the sample image.
