Yotsuyama shrine is located on the site of an ancient burial mound dating to the 6th century. There the kami Ōyamatsumi, elder brother of Amaterasu the goddess of the sun, and the father of Konohanasakuya-hime the goddess of Mount Fuji, is venerated. The Yotsuyama bowl represents this potent force, with its dark rich volcanic edges and blue-green crackled glazed bottom, sure to make it a conversation piece where ever incense is burned.
Please note: due to the uniqueness of all handcrafted and hand-glazed ceramics, variations in glaze colors and effects may occur. Due to this, the piece you receive may not exactly match the sample image.
